For the first time since 2009 when the CD release concert was held in NYC, this concert will be presenting Satoshi Kanazawa's chamber works, piano solo pieces, and Japanese art songs including several world premieres.

THE BRICKS is a nexus for arts and music launched this fall 2021. Kanazawa is one of the members. As a featuring collaboration artist of the first exhibition, Satoshi Kanazawa is working with an artist Mizue Sawano to create a unique exhibition space with artworks and music. The theme of the exhibition is "Coexistence" artworks by Mizue Sawano and music curated and composed by Satoshi Kanazawa. The only one-time live performance will be taken place on Friday, October 22 at 7 pm.

In response to recent social movements for equity and diversity, our second livestream concert will feature music by American composers Amy Beach, William Grant Still, and George Gershwin as well as Astor Piazzolla. This will be a thirty-minute concert and is free to watch.

A piece commissioned to write for Japanese Bamboo Flute (Tsugarubue) and cello entitled "TSUGARU" was premiered at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, NYC performed by Bunta Sato (tsugarubue) and Reenat Pinchas.

津軽笛とチェロのための作品「津軽」がカーネギーホールのワイルリサイタルホールで世界初演されました。演奏は佐藤ぶん太、(津軽笛)さん、リーナット・ピンカス(チェロ)さん。

Music ⇄Movies Concert

青森県弘前市にある「石のむろじ」で映画音楽を取り上げたコンサートが開催されました。映画の中で使われたクラシック音楽、映画のために書かれたサウンドトラックを「愛・戦争・希望」をテーマにお届けしました。
